Event information

The S.E. Junior Pennant is back for Term 4. This will see Junior clubs, AGSV schools and other schools competing in fun competition across the S.E. Melbourne Suburbs.

 


Term 4 begins on Saturday 25th October and runs for 4 weeks plus 1 week of finals.

Should a division have 4 teams - their season will commence from 1st November.

Each division will have up to 5 teams and will play each other once in a Home & Away format.

Teams will consist of 4 players with 4 playing on the day.
Team registration form HERE - These must be completed and returned to Competition Coordinator David Cowell - competition@squashvic.com.au by 10th October.

 

FORMAT:
All division matches will be Play 3 games PAR 15 scoring.
Division 1 will use a double dot ball
All other divisions will use a single dot ball.

The winning team of each match will be the team with the most games won. If games are even, the winning team will be the team with the most rubbers won.
A Finals round will be played between the top 2 teams of each division.

All players must be registrered with S&RV, a new Schools membership for $18 has been created for those who are not already registered with a club.

FEES:
Team registration - $25 (S&RV will invoice)
Match day fee - $30 per team. (to be paid at venue)  

 

RULES:
1. Matches will be played accoring to the WSF Rules
2. All players must be Under 19 years of age by the end date of the term competition.
3. All matches will commence at 9:30am.
4. Teams to corodinate with their home venue for court bookings once the fixture is released.
5. Team lists for the day must be provided to opposition.
6. All results must be sent to Competition Coordinator David Cowell - competition@squashvic.com.au Either by written scorsheet, or screenshot of a scoring app.
7. All players must have played at least 50% of matches to be eligible for the finals (if applicable).
8. Players are required to mark/referee the match immediately following their own or as directed by the Competition Coordinator.
9. Each club is allowed to have a pool of emergency players; however, the grade of these players must be determined prior to the season commencing.
10. All teams must stick to their player rankings as submitted prior to competition start date. Should player rankings adjust over the season, Permission must be sort from the Competition Coordinator to change the team rankings at least 3 days before the next day of competition.
11. Players must play in ranking order, should a player be required to play twice, the lowest ranked player in the team may play twice.
12. Finals will be played in accordance to the fixture provided at the beginning of the term.
13. Protective eyewear that complies with Squash Australia policy is compulsory for all players that are 19 years old and younger in the competition and must be worn for the duration of all practice and matches, protective eyewear must also be worn by everyone for the duration of all doubles practice and doubles matches.
14. Photographs and video taken of players participating in this competition may be used by S&RV for future advertising or promotional purposes. If any player does not wish to be photographed, please advise the S&RV office as soon as practicable.
15. The Competition Coordinator reserves the right to (a) Accept or refuse any entry; (b) Disqualify any player for late arrival or misconduct; (c) Alter match times; (d) Vary conditions of play.
16. Any team giving a team walkover during the home and away season will be ineligible for Finals and must pay $30 to the appropriate venue
17. Players need to have played a minimum of 3 (three) matches or more to be eligible to receive a trophy if their team finishes in the Winner or Runner up position
