Victorian Success
On the 14th March, Squash Australia hosted the annual awards gala at the Australian Open in Brisbane. The afternoon was a celebration of Squash in Australia as well as the induction of Heather McKay into the PSA Hall of Fame.
Victorian squash was also celebrated with some wins, namely Club of the Year!
The Mulgrave Country Club took out the coverted Club of the Year award for 2025, and it's easy to see why. The team have done an amazing job in promting squash and building up their squash section. The club was represtented by Elton Cross, John Daniell, Sam Medlin, Sky Loo & Menusha Hettia.

Michelle Rowles was also named as one of the Volunteers of the Year for her continued work in supporting Masters squash across Victoria and Australia.
The biggest honor for Victoria goes to Damien Green who was named as a General Member in the Squash Australia Hall of Fame. Having only been inducted into the S&RV Hall of Fame last year. This is a great honor being one of only two referees inducted into Hall of Fame.
Damien is a globally respected leader in squash officiating whose career spans over two decades. Achieving National Referee status in 1999 and receiving the National Officiating Scholarship in 2004, he quickly rose to international prominence, serving as National Technical Official at the 2006 Melbourne and 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, and as an International Referee for the World Squash Federation at events including the World Masters, World Men’s Teams Championships - Chennai 2007, and multiple individual World Championships.
