Paul Vear Interim General Manager

A bit about Paul...

The S&RV Board has asked Paul Vear to act as interim General Manager during change in management. Paul is working alongside Board members and current staff, to continue with the projects and current work load to ensure that S&RV is able to continue with the business of squash and racquetball throughout Victoria.

Paul is the current General Manager of Australian Racquetball, but apart from being a S&RV Board member last year, he was also the Executive Director of the Victorian Squash Federation for 20 years. His knowledge and experience will be invaluable during this transition period.

Played squash for 40 plus years, tennis for 20 plus years and various other sports.

What do you love most about squash?

The mental challenge it presents.

Melton or Mulgrave centres.

 

Favourite squash memory?

Playing in winning premiership teams.

Education.

Meredith Hodson Sports Program Manager

A bit about Meredith...

Started playing sport from a young age, and continue to factor it into my week. Athletics and road cycling were my main sports growing up, but have also been involved in netball, softball, canoe polo, AFL, soccer and squash.

 

Three words that describe yourself:

Optimistic | Kind | Realist

 

Where will we find you playing squash?

Lunch break on a Friday at the MSAC squash courts with fellow sports colleagues!

 

Hobbies or interests outside of work?

I love to read! I probably go through a new book every couple of weeks…

Prayansh Desai Development Officer

A bit about Prayansh...

His love for sport started at an early age as Prayansh was made captain of the School Table Tennis team. He also played district level soccer and represented the local club swimming team. Most of that changed once Prayansh held a squash racquet – there was no looking back.

 

Three words that describe yourself:

Creative | Innovative | Curious

 

Favourite squash memory?

Favourite squash memory would be when he was first introduced to the game by his father in when I was in my early teens and he picked up the game instantly making it a Sunday – fun day family ritual!

 

Hobbies or interests outside of work?

Scuba Diving – Just got his Advanced divers certification (Aww yeah!)
